Master
Internet/Web Implementation Project Action Plan
We have found that
it is inherent in the nature and makeup of a business person that
once their imagination is stirred and their vision has captured
the possibilities their drive for action and results will set
a thing in motion. As you have participated in this workshop,
your challenge has been to connect what you know about business
and what you are learning about the exciting online world with
the technologies and tools and places that you can put those to
work online. As the translator, the person standing between the
purely business people on one side and the technological people
on the other side it is now time for you to take the next step
in you journey into the world of doing business on the net. The
next step in establishing your presence on the Web and or the
Internet is to build a Master Internet/Web Implementation Project
Action Plan for your business.
As you begin the project
of "Transforming Your Vision Into Action Online" by
building your Master Internet/Web Implementation Project Action
Plan it is now time for you to bring together a cross functional
team of experts from inside and outside your organization. These
members of this team will assist you by providing information
on the more technical/operational aspects of the task of setting
up a Web business presence, lend their insights and ideas to multiply
and enrich your vision and creative ideas and aid you in defining
the tactical steps necessary for successfully achieving the vision,
goals and objectives of your Master Internet/Web Implementation
Project Action Plan.

1. First if your have
done steps 4 - 10 in a officiate setting with your Internet Task
Force Team you will end up with a fairly well developed rough
draft of the Master Internet Implementation Action Plan.
2. The second necessary
subset step will be to assign the specific goals of this plan
to each of the Internet Task Force team members attending the
officiate and then charging each them with forming small task
force teams of their own to flesh out the actions plan needed
to achieve the respective goals they have been assigned. Each
of their respective action plans will need to include the following
information:
- Specific project
implementation timeline and key milestone dates
- Specific Goals
and Action Steps for each functional department or division.
- An overall Master
Internet Implementation Action Plan focus in the marketing area
that includes market analysis (competition analysis, analysis
of each of your existing and potential target market's products
and customer base) and projected business revenues
- Key road blocks
and challenges with recommended solution oriented action plans
- Cost analysis
3. Then after the
individual action plans have been developed you will want to pull
your small task force teams together at an all day meeting for
the purposes of:
- Reviewing the key
details each of the respective plans
- Incorporating the
feedback of their team members who were not on their respective
small task forces
- Ironing out any
potential cross functional conflicts
